Galin Ganchev, piano
Un critique (Richard Hudson) a écrit:
« Ce qui rend l’écoute de Galin Ganchev si gratifiante, c’est qu’aucun accommodement n’est nécessaire, aucun scepticisme n’est exigé. »
Galin Ganchev est un pianiste reconnu pour la profondeur de son jeu et la richesse de son expression. Il s’est produit en récital dans de nombreuses villes (Paris, Londres, Édimbourg, Oxford, Milan Sofia, Birmingham, Varna, Gand, Essen, etc.) et a collaboré avec des chefs tels que Francesco Lanzillotta, Robert Wysome, John Moore, Svilen Simeonov, Gancho Ganchev et Martin Georgiev.
Ses prestations récentes incluent des récitals complets à Choumen, Essen, Londres et Paris ; le Concerto n°2 de Prokofiev avec les orchestres de Pleven et Choumen, un enregistrement pour la Radio nationale bulgare (Rachmaninoff et Vladigerov) ; le Concerto n°4 de Beethoven avec l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Varna ; une tournée en Écosse avec le Duo Perseus, ses débuts au Festival de musique d’été de Varna ; ainsi que les COncertos BWV 1052 et BWV 1054 de Bach, qu’il dirigeait du clavier.
Il a participé à de nombreuses masterclasses - Yevgeny Sudbin, Michael Roll, Tatiana Sarkissova, Michael Foyle, Jack Liebeck, Pascal Devoyon, Adrian Brendel, Imogen Cooper, Roy Howat, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Olivier Cazal et d'autres encore.
Son répertoire compte plus de 240 oeuvres, dont les Études symphoniques de Schumann, la Sonate en si mineur de Liszt, l’Appassionata et la Waldstein de Beethoven, les Sonates et le Concerto n°2 de Prokofiev, les Concertos de Beethoven, Grieg, Brahms (n°2) et Rachmaninoff (n°1 et n°3) etc.
Galin a récemment obtenu son Master avec distinction et le DipRAM à la Royal Academy of Music (Londres), où il a étudié le piano avec Ian Fountain et l'accompagnement avec Michael Dussek.
